Today in the most classes we really don't listen to the teacher because we have to write that teacher says in the class and usually after ending the class we really don't know about the subject.
Why we must learn in these methods?
I think that the class must be what the students want.Teacher must ask students to listen to her/his first and understand them that is more important.The other most important thing is that the class must cause to that student be active and they want to know about things themselves.The teacher and student must behave very good together I belive that when the students love their teacher they love her/his class too.

I think there are several important factors that make a class successful and be like the real world.
To have a successful learning environment , students need to interact. An intractive environment makes students active.
Open subject conversation in the class encourages students to speak and listen carefully.
Totally the environment of a class should be pleasant by using modern methods of teaching ,and students should enjoy the class and lessons too.

This is kind of a subject that we can write a book.Most of our classes are so boring that you can't fight back your sleepyhead.(my own best record in such classes
is 40 minutes.)
In my opinion a good class is kind of a class that everyone would
attened with joy not because of the
class mark.In an interesting clasroom the teacher won't need to
waste his/her energy to wake students up.The real world is where we should live,work and use what we have learned.If the classroom is simular with the reality which is going on outside
it would be a usefull practice.
I myself think that the reason I
fall asleep in most of the classes
is that the teacher is the only speaker(it is interesting that some of them even make the lesson less attractive than what it realy
is by the way of teaching.)When I can't have a role in the class and
when the professor is saying his book word by word,I can't think of a reason to stay awake.(What a waste of time What a useless work
that's all I can think of.)
In the real word you should be creative and more important than that you should be able to think
about every thing and find every answer yourself.(there won't be any teacher to tell you what is right and what is wrong.)
I think in our English classes we are on the right track.No books,
being active in theclass;it's like heaven.(No exaturations!)It's the only class I don't fall asleep in.

when I was 7 years old and I wanted to go to school everyone told me that school is like your second home and teacher is like your second mother.
I believe that if we want to have a classroom like real world it needs to change it's mental and material conditions.
we can have a classroom with beautiful walls and invironmentand with good arrangement of chairs in which students can sit round and can see eachother and have very good and close relationship.
I thinke that should be a close and friendship contact among students and teacher in which everyone can say his/her opinions. I believe that teacher has an important role in class and he/she should make a friendship competition among students to help them in their progress.
these all help us to have a very good and lovely classroom.

enforcing is always the problem of the classes in the world, which make it defferent from the real world, in the real world we participate in whatever we like with no force. and this enforcement is the case and what we do in the class isn't the case, and in this direction I think you are far from your goals but why? because other classes (except our English class), act in a manner that we can not participate in it and it is boring because we are forced to sit there and just listening whitout wanting it and this forcing is the problem but in our english classes we should participate in everything even if we don't like it and it is another kind of forcing and this enforcing is the matter not direction of it. and I think by this way there is no important different in our English classes and other classes.
but I have a suggestion for making our classes better.
I think if students assigns the proceeding of the classes it will be more joyful and closer to the real world, in this way at least in each session, some of us will enjoy (not like now that nobody enjoys just for a single moment).
but I can understand in this way our english will not improve fast, but it will become more joyful (and also I don't think our english level growing a lot by current method), and I think if we do that we can enjoy the classes with an improving in our english as slow as our current speed.

I think that if all of students sence that
all of the students are their friends.they are relax in class and in
Class speak more than now. If we think that we have many problems in
our speaking and the other students are better than ourself
we don't like to speak and we can't try to speak but if we
think that we are the same and all of us maybe have problems in
speaking we improve our self-confidence .and try to speak and if we start speaking its help us to improve our ability of speaking.
and I think if we choose our subjects attractive perhaps its help that students be active more that before. I think that promote students is a good way to interest students to the class. I think that we should learn that don't chaff and smile to the other students when they are speaking.
with this work we kill the self-confidence in our friend. And they don’t like to speak after this time. If we think that all of us is one person and try to improve this person. We are more consent than when we try for ourself only. I think we should learn to help weak student. And if we do this good work god help us to be better than the past. I think that if we have good heart and try to help each other god help me to.

This matter is good we can really undrestand worth of this method that it is performed in university in my idea this method of leaning is more better than ancient method because in ancient method we read ancient text that they writen in perevious years and we didnt have any relatinoship with enternet and weblog and etx.but in this method student of university work more and he(she) become and acquintance with real world . for example matter of weblog he(she) try to use other sourse and she(he) can declare and he dosent force to confirms text that it has discovered many years ago .
human draws his future with his think .
we can work and we can reach to what we want if we want just a step remain until start so all of us take a step until we reach peack achivment.
but role of master is important for this matter .
class is like a tree that master is root of tree and students are branches of tree if all of beranches grow tree is fresh but if a baranch grow a lot it may broke and mien of tree is feeble so activity of all can approch our class to real world .
activity of you is base of improvment and i really thank you then we try because we like our community and we want improvment.

Hi. I think for that our class become near to real world exist some ways.
For the first way my offer is that we try to speak about real subject and actually should propound real subject to have real disscusation .for example discussing about day topic like news that we watch in tv and also about reality of life like death and etc.
My second offer is that for giving idea about topic that is propounded in class its not neccessory we always express things that we think its better because they are true.
Actually I mean that sometimes it is better that we express thing that we are not thing that we like to be and we speak about works that we do in society not work that we know doing its is tru . for example when is propounded rule topic all of us say that rule is good ,its very useful for socity for this cause and this cause and this cause .but any of us don’t speak about work that we do in reality about rule or why we don’t act to rule and many same question that with our answering is propounded.
Ofcourse for to be applicative this ways we should have friendship in class.
I think this ways is very useful in our English class because it causes that we speak English easily and actually we feel relaxing with this language and therefore we learn its easier and we more try to learn its.
I hope oneday we arrive to this successful in the best statement.

I think that our class is a new class as we are free to talk about want we like and tell our feelings about what's happening around us,and because of this it's a little difficult for me but I know that it's better for me to get used to it,because up to now we were in a very limited classes that we just memorized some thing and used a very little part of our brain and now it's the time to use our brain more,because in the modern world if we want to be successful,we should know how to express our feelings and defend it.
But the problem is that I myself don't know how I can use this major unused part of my brain,so I think it's important to talk about it in our class in order to use our class more.
Another important thing is to learn some new words,because I think Idon't know so many words and if we learn some new words,I will think that our English class is more usefull for me.

And I have a question:Why don't we study our English book as in other universities?

I don't know why most of my friends said that our English class is a`real world!ofcourse because we do everything only for
"nomre"and not by our interest we can't reach this beautiful method.What is the real world?in real world i feel free,but in classes(esp.in English class)I feel that I'm under control.In real world I choose my work based on my interest,but in our class every work must be done by all the student,and no choice.In real world i'm not forced to sit on a`chair for 2 hours & listen to the class all the time,i have rigth to change my place & position when i like.In reall world I like to attend in eveywhere that I feel I learn sth even one word,but in university classes i attend only for "hozoor-ghiab!",i don't like to be forced.well...there are alot of difference between our classes &reall world,maybe because our teachers don't know the teaching way!!!!!!!this term new method has done in English classes,i hope it become successful but really it needs a lot of time.

because they are poles apart. each class needs to be ruled to attend and reach what are its goals at the end of the term.and these goals are made by The teacher or maybe the education organization! but in real world the people themselves made laws! you see? I mean They are not the students who made goals for a class! aims are foreordained! aren't they ?!
and at the end I absolutely agree with D.D ,because there is no similarity between a real world and a real class and it cannot even made!

Real world mean the world that U can exprience & discover and designe new things whith interest & peace.
Are our classes like the world ?
NO!
Our educational system has alot of problems.
Ourfamilies & schooles always want their children to get agood MARKS and all evaluate achildren whith their MARKS.
It's not important howmuch U underestand .Our exams from what we memoriz .
This condition contineu in university also.
Most of our lessons are so important but we don't like go to classes because it's boring and we don't fell that we need to it.
THE TEACHERS ARE ONLY SPEEKERS, THEY DON'T TEACH ATRACTIVE.
I they should tiy to share students more in the class and always ask them quastion that active their mind.
teachers should teach elementry student how they can thinking more & be critical.

most of our classes are far from real world.the real class must be high-speed and full of fun.it must give us a strong sense of usefulness.it can help us to recognize more clearly our abilities by introducing us to new ideas and new ways of seeing the world.
when a real class is over students are stimulated to creative deeds and they have very positive feelings but after some of our classes we just feel that we have lost all of our ATP for nothing!!!
in real world we must enjoy the life,we should have time for ourselves,do whatever we like.

Thank you my teacher to put forth this important subject to discuss about it , but I wished that you put it before , I meaned , at the first of our course.
I think that the talk and listening are forming the base for any language .
We had a listening in our class during PACH ADAMS film , and had some talking , but I think that were not prefect and complete .
On the other hand, like what anonymous said , I am agree whith him \ her that the class must be the second home for us and the teacher is my brother \ sister who is older than us and the classmates are my oldmate brothers and sisters .
I am sure if that happened in our class , the bond among us would be more better , like one family, and we would feel a relax in our class , and that would lead that anyone can express about his/her ideas and that will be a step to grow our ideas and like our class and lern English language .

Hello to every body.. and also to our teacher. I think it’s a good subject and instead a good top, it's a desire more. In our classes in Iran. and still the classes have a long distance to be a real world.It's right that a class and a world compare just because both place that people try to learn new lessons of life.In the word by experience and in the class by books and by words.And we can make the class fine a world.A small world or even a big world Not in quatity,of course in quality. But, unfortunately in fact as a things we have in our classes(except English class)!! Student are only some person to fill the chair of a class and play the role of student! That it defines for us?! I read the matter and my idea is,if we want to begine a work we have two maine:
1.a new work has many problem for execution because a lot of people get into habit to the privouse system.
2.this work is a very difficult thing,but the big work have the big effect and need many trying.
at the first we must diecide to change all of the education system
because if we creat a changing in one of the part,another part will have some problem,so even if we creat a little changing in all of the system better than the big changing in one part of the system
because all of the details of system have a close realation together and a changing in one part effect in other part if we want or not.
but in my idea we can do some work
for improving our class forexample
teachers must have a good realation with students and the student must take part in the disscotion and teacher must express alive type for undrestanding better.
we must undrestand we live in the world and all of the science depond

space of classes has a very deep effect on our understandings .I think if the classes were light and colourful,with many posters about our lessons ,It could open our mind for new subjects .teachers in the classes,must allow students to ask them their questions not they full their minds with without any answerring questions.if teachers , knew habbits of their students,could get on better with them.they must full the space of classes with happiness not with the stress of exams.because if teachers just incline on exams and marks and exams and marks,students instead of learning and understanding lessons,just memorize subjects and after exams,they will forget all of them.

I think this isanice subject to ask students how they like their classes to be and I think if would really work if teachers behave like that their students want.
Any way in my point of view,a class just should have something to learn ;I myself really don't care about how the class is like I mean as some of you had said be a place suitable for eating ,playing etc...
As I remember I've just studied in some schools which some really didn't have enouph facilities what's more the enviroment wasn't beautiful and with good sightseeing at all ,Some of them even didn't have enouph flat for playing ,Although they were the best schools refering to their teacher and the students!!!
But I always loved my classes teachers and schools NO MATTER HOW THE CONDITIONS WERE.
But I want to say that I agree that it 'll affect and work if we try to have better classes.

there are many ways that can improve a class and give it the real meaning.
The first important thing is friendly sense between teacher and students.If we want our classes can com closer to being the real word our teacher and students must come closer to each other.It helps students to ask their questions or say their idea in their classes and helps teacher that teaching them better.
class must be in open and beautiful environment like yard or garden.I think open spaces and fresh air can open our mind.
classroom must show us our lesson for exp If a classroom is english class walls can show it or we can make chairs like english alphabet and put it in to this class.
sitting around the class can help us to see eachother and can speak with our classmates ore teacher face to face and it have a deep effect.
use real model,picture or films for a lessen that teacher want to teach it.It help us that understand that lesson and realy be in class all of the time of teaching.
each session one of the students be teacher or help teacher for teaching.
middterm or end term exam is not usefull I think,If teacher gets exam end of each session from the lesson of that session is more usfull and students have to be in class.
teacher or one of student who is teacher that session can explain lesson like a story or says a story a bout that.
speaking a bout lessen topic is usefull teacher can ask the students idea a bout topic and they can speak a bout it.
this ways are some of ways that help a class improve.

let's focus on English classes.To be honest, university is not the place to learn vacabulary or grammer of english.We should have learned them befor and if some one has not tried on this field and has not improved her/his english knowledge, should really try hard to compensate this laziness;learning vocabulary is upto the student,in this part of english learning process,( and of cours in every field of our study)we must be highly "self-learners",active learners not passive ones.university is the place where we must examin our abilities or improve the power of using this essential tool for our perfessonal afairs,and english classes should only play the role of a sympathetic and helpful facilitator or coordinator;It should provide us with situations to improve our self-assesment powe, to judge about our selves and recognize our weaknesses.They should learn us fishing rather than giving us a fish just for one meal!( we are are familier with this chinease expression).I think the the changes made in the method of our english course isentirely pointing to these aims,I am really glad about it,I really enjoy this free discusion classes, I REALLY LOVE PRESENTATIONS, I am completely gratified with this work,I don't expect anything else from such a nice satisfying english course.I wan to tell those who have joned ther ranks of protestants should know that "flexibility to new conditions and accepting possitive changes is one of gleaming signs of inteligence and talence" and those who find themselves unable to undergo acceptance of alterations should admit they are not smart!!

I think we should be comfortable and free to use the class not to be forced to just be in the class and lissening to someone as a teacher the class should manage in away that me as a student find it s.th that I'm not forced to go there and there is no abligation just I prefer to go and spend my time there.all the students should feel that they have a close relationship with their teachers especially about children.
I don't know why the development in the methods of teaghing or managing the class is disable to make students eager to sit in the class it just is going to make them hating it and tring to escape it.
and the solution:
I think we can ask students about what to do in the class;how to teach that every one can get the meaning and so on .infact we give them the ability to select how they want to spend their time.
I think the teacher should speak fluently;not very slow and not very fast;use some intersting statements in her/his speech to change the class'atmospher;use methods that students have involvement;stop them of thinking that they are tired or the lesson is boring with a break and relaxition.
In my idea all the syudents should find out the lesson in the class.
we should change the content of the books many of them are so antient or boring.books should have more pictures and less writtings and the content should be useful and in relationship with our todays needs in this way they are more attractive also they should have the best quality.
and now colors:
we should try to use colors that attract us such as pink;yellow;grean;blue or holding the class in nature and prevent using dark colors from the uniform till the window or wall.

A class is called a real one whenever the teacher(s), students, the subject, the atmosphere of the class, every thing involved in, are real ones not playing their roles.
***The REAL class is where we REALLY learn sth inside the class not what we are injected afterwards (especially before university…as u know….mmmm!… (I wish we could use those smileys in our blog to express our feelings!).
***The real teacher is the one who teaches what he/she RAELLY knows students love and want. I remember high school days when we always grumbled about lessons such as social science, history, etc in which teachers themselves didn't believe and they just said: "U are supposed to pass this course". But again I remember our history in guidance school where we played the lessons and at least I have not forgotten those I myself got involved in, because it was a real class. I still remember the films I watched at school.
***The real lesson is the one we REALLY need in our life I mean an applied one.
*** The real students are those who talk about the REALITY, those who say what they REALLY think and what they do in the REAL world.
***And finally the real grade is the one we get in such a class because it shows what we, ourselves have REALLY done.

And I, as a REAL student, studying REAL language in a REAL class ,want to thank a REAL teacher for the REAL endeavor she made to help us REALLY learn sth. Honestly! Without a bit exaggerating!I hope others get exactly the same thing as I wanted from this sentence.Ofcourse they will do if they are real classmates.However I don't care what they think!

I agree that if we participate in class activities we won't fall asleep,but that's not the only way of being awake,for example in dr minayi class ,although we only listen but the way of teaching is intersting and makes us be awake,but about the procuder we can follow to make the class be like a real world,the first step (in my idea)is not to have any particular book to follow causs the book is just like a frame that imprison us and dosen't let the minds become creative(thing that e do in class) secondly,students should have a role in teaching method ,also the atmosphere of the class should be like the real world,totally I think we have all this things in our class and I feel no lack.thank yoi mrs oladi for your amazing wonderful intersting class.
 

as sahel said todays in our classes we didn't pay attention to teacher.we just copied everything in class and then memorized them
and two weeks after exam we forget all of them
but if classes became more intresting,if we experince most of our lessons in our class and if we involved in the subject of our lessons and discuss about them we will learn every thing in the class and it didn't need to coppied every thing in class
so making class like real world in my oppinion means making student teachers of classes experince every thing in classand making class so lovely that students enjoy from being in class .in this way students will love their classes involve in classes and will learn every thing in the class

about the subject that how our class could be the real world ,in my opinion firstly we must notice what is in the world that we want to add to our class.
class is a place where we learn but what we want to?
in our clasic way we learn the rules of natural phenomena and what happend in our world .
but as i think more importan is learning how to live and be one part of the world,how cope with each other and participate in a group as wourd,s members,and in brife each time by each person new world apears.
the class must be a place where student could experience what they may face in the real wourld,and learn many think like respecting others and etc.the chance of speaking and saying opinion about cases must be include.and as most of us must be pushed to think the chance of thinking must be concider.
i think more thaking and creativity is neaded.
but all in all it is only you and me that could make a difference.

I think most of my classmates can speak English well but they don't like talking even in Persian.
I think the personnel of English in our university must pay more attention to this point and create a new intersting methods to attract students to talking. Secondly,In English classes we have to forget the MARKS /like Patch Adam when he suggest to forget the money/
If we feel we are there just for learning not for degrees, or absence and presence, I think the student will accept the new methods.
if we ask each one of the students do want to speak Englih fluently actually they will say ofcourse.
Third thing I want to talk about is including Medical terminology in TEFU program, I don't know why the new method doesn't pay enough attention to this problem.There is people say that by this method they are learning the foriegn language in USA and Germany.............
I think they learn those languages just for languages I mean just to know onother languages but we learn English not just for English because it helps us so much in our study and researches. And even in USA where their native languages is English, learn Medical Terminology in special
courses to learn the Latin terms ,suffixes and prefixes.
